Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages Queza, Augur of Agonies to transform card advantage into direct life total pressure and personal lifegain. Operating as a synergy-driven control shell, it deploys efficient reactive countermagic, targeted removal, and board wipes to navigate the early game while establishing mana and cantrip velocity. The midgame focuses on landing Queza alongside card advantage engines and damage multipliers like Psychosis Crawler, Teferi's Ageless Insight, and Krang, the All-Powerful. The primary endgame is achieved either through a massive burst draw spell such as Peer into the Abyss or Mathemagics, or by assembling an infinite draw-drain loop with Drogskol Reaver, where every life gained triggers a card draw that triggers Queza's drain in a self-sustaining cycle. While the deck lacks tutors to assemble combos quickly, its dense draw suite and robust interaction ensure consistent mid-to-late game inevitability.
