Deck overview

This Esper Sphinx tribal deck leverages The Ur-Sphinx's eminence ability to discount high-cost flying creatures. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and cost reducers like Sapphire Medallion and Herald's Horn. By Turn 5, the deck deploys massive card advantage engines such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Consecrated Sphinx, rapidly refilling the hand and chaining threats. The win condition centers on overwhelming opponents with evasive combat damage, accelerated by Magister Sphinx setting life totals to 10 and Gravitational Shift boosting aerial power. Interaction is robust, featuring versatile removal like Void Rend and Anguished Unmaking, alongside countermagic to protect key turns. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to deep card flow, the deck remains vulnerable to repeated board wipes and aggressive early strategies before its aerial defense stabilizes.
