Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck is commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, focusing on Villain tribal synergies and continuous discard and connive triggers. The early game focuses on deploying efficient mana rocks and low-cost Villains such as Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, Prowler, Clawed Thief, and Ultron, Unlimited. Once Doctor Doom arrives on Turn 4, combat connive triggers systematically filter cards, grow attacking creatures with +1/+1 counters, and burn opponents whenever lands are discarded. Mid-game turns scale the board through token generation from Madame Hydra and Red Ghost, Intangible Genius, card advantage from Inti, Seneschal of the Sun, and board control via Archfiend of Ifnir. The deck defends its strategy with efficient interaction like Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick, and Toxic Deluge, ultimately closing out the game around Turn 8 through wide evasive combat and persistent direct burn.
