Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Whiplash, Vengeful Engineer, turning traditional Voltron aggression into a multiplayer group-drain engine. Whiplash enters early for a single black mana and triggers life drain against each opponent whenever he attacks while equipped, scaling directly with the number of attached Equipment. The deck is built on a dense foundation of cheap equipment, mana-efficient card advantage engines like Mask of Memory, and scaling threats such as Cranial Plating and Bloodforged Battle-Axe. A robust package of 1-mana instant-speed indestructible spells protects Whiplash from board wipes and combat trades. Life loss amplifiers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Defiling Daemogoth accelerate table-wide elimination, while Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Exquisite Blood provide an infinite drain combo backup. By balancing targeted commander damage with symmetric life drain, the deck pressures the entire table simultaneously.
