Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control strategy centered on Queza, Augur of Agonies. It converts card advantage directly into opponent life loss and personal life gain. The early game focuses on setting up mana rocks and cheap card selection before deploying Queza on Turn 4. Once established, continuous draw engines and burst spells steadily erode opposing life totals while padding your own life total against aggressive strategies. A robust suite of targeted removal and counterspells keeps threatening opposing commanders and combo pieces in check. The deck closes games around Turn 9 by resolving large wheels like Windfall, doubling triggers with Alhammarret's Archive, or casting a massive Debt to the Deathless or Exsanguinate. While the list lacks fast infinite combos or aggressive tutor density, its high redundancy of draw and interaction makes it a resilient and consistent control deck.
