Deck overview

This is a mono-black Necron artifact-reanimator deck helmed by Szarekh, the Silent King. The core plan is to self-mill aggressively - through Szarekh's attack trigger, Out of the Tombs, Necron Monolith, and The War in Heaven - then convert the graveyard into a battlefield via mass-reanimation spells like Living Death and Technomancer, plus the ubiquitous unearth mechanic. The deck floods the board with 2/2 Necron Warrior tokens and mid-sized artifact creatures, then closes the game through drain effects (Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Necron Overlord), the half-life nuke of Shard of the Nightbringer, or a wide, Cranial Plating-boosted combat swing. It is a slow, grindy value deck that wins through incremental card advantage and graveyard inevitability rather than fast combos.
