Deck overview

Nuts About Replication is a Golgari token replication and big-mana overrun deck led by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The strategy revolves around deploying cheap token generators early, casting Hazel on turn 3, and using her end-step trigger to duplicate valuable tokens—doubling the output if they are Squirrels. In the midgame, Hazel turns your token army into an explosive mana battery, tapping tokens to generate colored mana for large spells. This mana fuels tutors, card draw engines like Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and scaling threats like Biowaste Blob and Scute Swarm. The deck closes games decisively around turn 5 by resolving massive overrun spells such as Finale of Devastation for X equal to 10 or more, Triumph of the Hordes, or Overwhelming Stampede, granting trample and lethal power across all three opponents simultaneously. Supporting interaction and protection spells keep the engine running smoothly.
