Deck overview

Don Andres, the Renegade commands a Grixis theft and pirate synergy deck that weaponizes opponents' cards while accelerating through Treasure tokens. The strategy establishes early mana rocks and low-curve theft creatures before deploying Don Andres on turn 4. Once assembled, stolen creatures gain +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch, turning utility creatures and borrowed threats into formidable combatants while stolen noncreature spells generate Treasure tokens. The deck escalates on turn 6 using powerful theft bombs like Mob Rule, Etali, Primal Storm, and Brainstealer Dragon, or alternate win conditions like Revel in Riches. Standalone disruption pieces such as Opposition Agent, Notion Thief, and Dauthi Voidwalker punish opposing tutors, card draw, and graveyard strategies. Although the list possesses high functional redundancy among theft effects, it lacks dedicated tutors and reactive protection spells, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and spot removal before it can close out games via combat.
