Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir tempo and burn list commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan relies on deploying cheap, evasive 1-drop creatures on Turn 1, then activating commander ninjutsu on Turn 2 to cheat Yuriko into play unblocked. The deck leverages topdeck manipulation spells like Brainstorm, Scroll Rack, and Lim-Dûl's Vault to stack high-mana-value cards—such as Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, and Dig Through Time—on top of the library. Whenever Yuriko or supporting Ninjas deal combat damage, these high-cost cards are revealed and put into hand, dealing massive, symmetric life loss to all opponents simultaneously. Backed by a dense package of free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship and free removal like Deadly Rollick, the deck protects its aggressive engine while rapidly closing out the game across Turns 4 and 5.
