Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange strategy centered on Sauron, the Dark Lord, combining the Amass Orcs and Ring-tempting mechanics to generate steady board presence and substantial card advantage. The game plan focuses on deploying mana acceleration in the early turns, casting Sauron on Turn 5, and leveraging his severe ward cost to stick a resilient threat. Once online, whenever opponents cast spells, your Orc Army expands. Connecting with that Army triggers the Ring's temptation, allowing you to cycle your hand into four fresh cards each turn cycle. Evasion enablers like The Black Gate, Wonder, and Brotherhood Regalia ensure your Army pushes through blockers to maintain resource flow. The deck closes games through compounded combat damage from Sauron, massive Armies, and heavy Avatar beaters like The Balrog, Durin's Bane, supported by a dense defensive equipment package.
