Deck overview

This deck is a focused Dimir control and combo-adjacent shell led by Venser, Corpse Puppet that aims to eliminate all three opponents through poison counters and compounding proliferation. Rather than dealing 120 combat damage, the deck infects each opponent early using unblockable attackers like Blighted Agent or direct poison spells such as Prologue to Phyresis and Ichor Rats. Once every player has at least one poison counter, the deck transitions into a defensive posture, using Venser, Corpse Puppet to generate 3/3 Hollow Sentinel artifact creature tokens for defense whenever it proliferates. Powerful engines like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Inexorable Tide, and Throne of Geth rapidly accelerate poison counts across the entire table. Backed by a dense suite of cheap countermagic, efficient black removal, and Ripples of Potential for board-wide protection, the deck reliably secures a non-damage victory around Turn 7.
