Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and aristocrats deck led by Minn, Wily Illusionist. The strategy revolves around triggering Minn's ability to create Illusion tokens whenever you draw your second card each turn, both on your own turn and during opponents' turns. As your Illusion army expands, each token's power scales quadratically. The deck leverages sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar alongside Minn's death trigger to cheat high-cost permanents directly from hand onto the battlefield without paying mana costs. The win condition manifests through wide, evasive combat supported by Lord of the Unreal, Eldrazi Monument, and Scourge of Fleets, or direct table drain with Psychosis Crawler. Backed by dense draw engines and efficient stack interaction, the deck maintains high resilience and card advantage throughout the game.
