Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir battlecruiser strategy built around Marvo, Deep Operative and the clash mechanic. Its core goal is to manipulate the top of the library with cards like Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, and Brainstorm to ensure Marvo wins every clash when attacking. Winning a clash allows the deck to draw a card and cast a spell with mana value 8 or less for free from hand. This cheat engine accelerates massive game-ending bombs—such as Archon of Cruelty, Hullbreaker Horror, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, and Breach the Multiverse—onto the battlefield as early as Turn 5. The deck supports this game plan with mana rocks, clash-themed interaction, and alternative topdeck payoffs like Twilight Prophet and Bolas's Citadel. While the deck generates massive board presence once rolling, it relies heavily on declaring combat attacks with Marvo and requires careful topdeck sequencing to maintain its high-value tempo advantage.
