Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Grixis deck pairs Mishra, Artificer Prodigy with a 20-copy Shadowborn Apostle engine and a Demon toolbox. The core plan floods the board with Apostles via Thrumming Stone ripple (and Mishra's same-name battlefield copies once Apostles are artifacts), then sacrifices six Apostles to cheat oversized Demons into play. Artifact-matters pieces (Biotransference, Encroaching Mycosynth, Mycosynth Lattice) turn the swarm into fuel for Time Sieve extra turns, Disciple of the Vault drains, and Ashnod's Altar/Phyrexian Altar mana. Secondary paths include combat finishes from Master of Cruelties and Archfiend of Despair, life-drain loops with Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bolas's Citadel top-deck pressure. Mishra is a powerful repeatable duplicator rather than a hard win condition; the Apostles-to-Demons spine still functions without him.
