Commander: Sméagol, Helpful Guide

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smeagol, Helpful Guide leads a hybrid Golgari landfall and aristocrats strategy designed to ramp aggressively by stealing opponents lands. The deck triggers the Ring tempts mechanic repeatedly using creature death engines like Bloodghast and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia alongside sacrifice outlets. Smeagol turns each Ring trigger into targeted mill and land theft, generating massive resource advantages. Primary win conditions center on infinite landfall combos utilizing Springheart Nantuko, bounce lands like Golgari Rot Farm, and mana enablers like Lotus Cobra or Amulet of Vigor. Secondary win paths include overwhelming combat damage from scaling Nazgul, Field of the Dead zombie swarms funded by Scapeshift, and recurring dredge loops via The Gitrog Monster.
