Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue artifact control and stax strategy commanded by Urza, Lord High Artificer. The game plan revolves around deploying efficient artifact ramp on early turns to cast Urza on Turn 4. Once resolved, Urza creates a scaling Construct token and turns all artifacts into blue mana sources. The deck then deploys oppressive asymmetric resource denial pieces such as Rising Waters, Storage Matrix, Frozen Aether, and Winter Moon. Urza breaks parity on these stax effects by tapping static artifacts for mana and tapping Storage Matrix before the controller's untap step to avoid its restriction. The deck defends its board with efficient counterspells and Padeem, Consul of Innovation, then closes out the game on Turn 7 by animating its artifact board with Cyberdrive Awakener or granting unblockable horsemanship via Sun Quan, Lord of Wu.
