Budget Build - Anax and Cymede v2? by hyperhaxorus101

Format: Commander

Commander: Anax and Cymede

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 32

Deck overview

This Boros aggro deck uses Anax and Cymede to convert cheap targeting spells and reusable Auras into aggressive, table-wide team buffs. By combining low-cost heroic creatures like Akroan Crusader and Phalanx Leader with token engines like Monastery Mentor, the deck builds a wide board in the first three turns. Once the commander is deployed on turn 3, self-bouncing enchantments like Flickering Ward and Crown of Flames trigger repeatable anthems and grant trample, creating a formidable combat threat by turn 5. Enchantment draw engines such as Sram, Senior Edificer and Kor Spiritdancer sustain card velocity, while sacrificial protectors like Selfless Spirit and targeted spells like Karametra's Blessing safeguard the board against removal. The deck consistently closes games around turn 7 through relentless combat steps.
