Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck is a focused Poison and Proliferate midrange strategy. It leverages efficient infect, toxic, and direct poison spells to seed early counters on all opponents, then utilizes Atraxa alongside compounding proliferate engines to escalate those counters to ten. Supported by a premier four-color manabase of original duals and fetches, the deck curves smoothly from early setup pieces like Blighted Agent and Prologue to Phyresis into Atraxa on Turn 4. Once established, cards like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Evolution Sage, and Inexorable Tide double or accelerate proliferate triggers, outpacing opponent life totals entirely. A concise suite of efficient spot removal, countermagic, and sweepers like Cyclonic Rift and Phyresis Outbreak defends the engine while restricting opposing boards. The deck closes games reliably around Turn 7 through inevitable non-combat poison accumulation.
