Deck overview

Shagrat, Loot Bearer helms an aggressive Rakdos Equipment and aristocrats hybrid deck. Shagrat bypasses expensive equip costs by attaching Equipment directly when attacking, concurrently growing an Orc Army token. The deck develops through early mana rocks, utility artifacts, and sacrifice enablers. You win by applying heavy combat pressure with massive commander hits and scaling Armies, or by closing out the game through aristocrat drain with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Mayhem Devil, and Syr Konrad, the Grim. Mass wipes like Chandra's Ignition and extra combats from Moraug, Fury of Akoum provide lethal burst finishes.
