Cascade, Cascade, Cascade, Cascade by Raemorse

Format: Commander

Commander: Averna, the Chaos Bloom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Averna, the Chaos Bloom leads a Temur cascade deck that wants to chain high-mana-value spells while converting every cascade into extra land drops. Averna's ability is the main accelerant: each cascade exiles cards, and she lets the deck put a land from that pile onto the battlefield tapped. Around her, the deck runs a dense cascade package - Bloodbraid Elf, Shardless Agent, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty, Maelstrom Wanderer, Apex Devastator - alongside a proliferate/+1/+1 counter subtheme. The primary win is a wide, hasted combat step from Maelstrom Wanderer with Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, or Scute Swarm; the secondary, more compact win is Simic Ascendancy reaching 20 growth counters via Evolution Sage, Inexorable Tide, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus. This is a mid-paced battlecruiser deck that rewards careful cascade sequencing more than explosive early combos.
