The Dwarf Company by airwavv

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk leads a Boros Dwarf-tribal deck that turns creature ETBs into Treasures and then converts those Treasures into combat power through his anthem. The primary plan is to flood the board with Dwarves, equip key attackers, and close with mass double strike from Akroma's Will, War of the Last Alliance, or Dain of the Ancient Halls. Secondary paths are equipment voltron on a legendary Dwarf and Treasure-based reach from Smaug the Magnificent or Rain of Riches. There is no hidden commander; Thorin is the repeatable Treasure engine and the pump that makes Treasures lethal, but the deck has enough independent Dwarf and Equipment payoffs to function, if more slowly, when he stays in the command zone.
