Deck overview

This deck is led by Vivi Ornitier, a commander that converts noncreature spells into +1/+1 counters, universal opponent pings, and an explosive once-per-turn mana burst equal to its power. The game plan focuses on casting low-cost cantrips, Auras, and pump spells to rapidly inflate Vivi's power on Turn 4. This enables a massive mana injection through Vivi's activated ability to cast game-ending spells like Crackle with Power or Chandra's Ignition. When paired with Curiosity or Ophidian Eye, every noncreature spell triggers three card draws, allowing the deck to storm through its library and burn out the table. Supporting creatures such as Niv-Mizzet, Parun provide a potent secondary win condition, while Hexing Squelcher and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun protect critical turns from opposing counterplay. A rich suite of cheap counterspells and protective equipment ensures Vivi survives targeted removal to deliver decisive multi-opponent damage by Turn 5.
