Smaug, the Impenetrable by JPICKLE1

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Rakdos Treasures + damage redirection. Smaug the Impenetrable is the keystone: a hasty, indestructible 8/7 that turns noncombat damage into Treasure. The deck's primary plan is to land Smaug, hit it with a cheap or mass burn spell, then convert the resulting burst of Treasure into a kill via Arcbond, Pain for All, Toralf, or redirection permanents. Secondary paths are artifact-count alt wins (Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, Knuckles the Echidna) and Alchemist's Talent treasure-burn. There is no hidden commander; Smaug, Wicked Worm and Smaug the Magnificent support the same Treasure strategy but are not the build-around.
