Deck overview

This deck is a creative 'Oops! All Creatures' spellslinger build helmed by Codie, Ravenous Codex and companion Umori, the Collector. By restricting all 64 nonland cards to creatures, it circumvents traditional deckbuilding constraints through the Prepare mechanic, which allows creature cards to cast instant and sorcery spell copies. Codie, Ravenous Codex doubles the value of these prepare spells whenever they are cast. The deck's primary engine utilizes creatures like Archmage Emeritus, Vega, the Watcher, and Storm-Kiln Artist to generate massive card draw and mana velocity. It closes the game as early as Turn 5 via an infinite mana and storm loop using Displacer Kitten and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, finishing the table with duplicated burn spells or Coruscation Mage pings in a single turn.
