Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is built around Smaug the Impenetrable as both a hasty 8/7 beatstick and a Treasure factory. The primary plan is to cast Smaug, deal noncombat damage to it with red board-damage spells like Starstorm, Star of Extinction, or Blasphemous Act, and convert the resulting Treasure tokens into life loss through artifact/token drain payoffs. A secondary path uses Wrathful Red Dragon to turn Smaug's damage into a 20-point bolt, and Hellkite Tyrant offers an alternate artifact-count win. Smaug, Wicked Worm acts as a hidden supporting dragon that can generate Treasures and cards when opponents control artifacts.
