Commander: Kardur, Doomscourge

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Kardur, Doomscourge is a Rakdos forced-combat attrition commander. His ETB turns the table against itself for a full turn, while the attack-death trigger converts every creature that dies in the fighting into life loss for all three opponents and life gain for you. The 99 leans into that plan with goad redundancy (Disrupt Decorum, Coronation of Chaos, Taunting Kobold, Geode Rager), engines that punish spells and draws (Painful Quandary, Kaervek the Merciless, Spiteful Visions, Court of Ambition), a full suite of removal and wipes, and big flying demons to finish. Conjurer's Closet lets Kardur, Doomscourge re-enter every end step, making the goad effectively permanent. There are no infinite combos; the deck grinds opponents to a low life total and then closes with a large Exsanguinate or flyer beats. It is a slower, value-heavy midrange deck that wants the game to last long enough for its drain to add up.
