Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast deck executes a high-velocity Mardu cheat-into-play combat strategy. The primary plan accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield by Turn 3 or 4, protects her with equipment or protection creatures, and attacks to drop massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Utvara Hellkite, and Balefire Dragon quickly overpower opposing defenses, wipe creature boards, and close the game through flying combat damage. The list maintains resilience with alternative cheat engines like Sneak Attack and efficient reanimation spells. A robust removal suite answers opposing threats while targeted stax pieces slow down faster decks.
