BEORN by Leingad

Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Beorn the Fierce leads a mono-green Bear and +1/+1 counter deck that wins by assembling an overwhelming trampling board. Beorn's anthem, trample-counter distribution, and combat draw make him the engine; the 99 contains a dense package of Bear makers (Ayula's Influence, Dancing from Dark to Dawn, Springleaf Parade) and counter doublers (Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Doubling Season). The second legendary Beorn in the 99-Beorn, Reluctant Host-is supporting land-ramp, not a hidden commander. Typical games ramp to Beorn, chain extra Bears, and close with Craterhoof Behemoth or an enlarged commander-damage swing from Beorn after Kalonian Hydra or Dancing triggers pile counters on him. There is no infinite combo; speed and safety both depend on the commander's draw trigger and on protecting the board until an alpha strike.
