Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Golgari token aristocrats and combo strategy led by Chatterfang, Squirrel General. The primary game plan revolves around exploiting Chatterfang's passive token doubling ability to multiply token production across Food, Clues, Treasures, and Squirrels. By converting every token creation event into additional 1/1 Squirrel bodies, the deck establishes massive mana velocity through engines like Jaheira, Friend of the Forest, Warren Soultrader, and Gaea's Cradle. It simultaneously turns black mana into repeatable, instant-speed creature removal to dominate the board. The deck closes games through compact infinite loops such as Pitiless Plunderer or Earthcraft paired with Squirrel Nest, generating infinite mana, infinite death triggers, and infinite creature tokens. Alternate win routes include draining the table with Mirkwood Bats, casting a lethal Torment of Hailfire, or swarming opponents in combat. While vulnerable to early targeted creature removal and lacking stack-based countermagic, its dense tutoring, explosive card draw, and independent backup combos make it a resilient and lethal threat.
