Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered competitive Esper combo-control deck centered around the premier Thassa's Oracle win condition combined with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Supported by a dense suite of zero- and one-mana accelerants, unconditional tutors, and top-tier draw engines like Mystic Remora and Rhystic Study, the deck consistently establishes a winning board state by Turn 3. It protects its proactive win attempts with silence effects such as Grand Abolisher, Ranger-Captain of Eos, and Silence, completely locking out opponent interaction on its turn. When playing reactively, the deck leverages a comprehensive array of free counterspells and low-cost removal to disrupt opposing fast wins while setting up its own protected window. In grindier scenarios, Hullbreaker Horror, Yawgmoth's Will, and Hashaton, Scarab's Fist provide powerful alternative value and lock lines.
