Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Niv-Mizzet, Visionary. The strategy centers on converting noncombat damage into overwhelming card advantage. By deploying cheap pingers such as Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage, and Guttersnipe, every instant and sorcery damages all opponents simultaneously. When Niv-Mizzet is on the battlefield, each point of noncombat damage dealt to an opponent draws a card, allowing a single 1-mana spell to draw 3 to 12 cards. This massive influx of cards fuels explosive red rituals like Inner Fire and Mana Geyser alongside Storm-Kiln Artist to generate massive mana. The deck rapidly draws through its entire library in a single storm turn, burning out the table with direct damage, draining life with Psychosis Crawler, or assembling an infinite draw-damage loop with Curiosity and Niv-Mizzet, Parun. Robust countermagic, efficient removal, and board sweepers protect the setup while stalling opposing aggression.
