Smaug Sacs $ by user2270255

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An aggressive Rakdos Dragon-treasure deck that uses Smaug the Impenetrable as both a hasted beatstick and a Treasure factory. Thanks to indestructibility, the deck can point noncombat damage at Smaug to generate large bursts of mana, then turn those Treasures into life loss through Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and related drainers. Secondary paths are Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, and the There and Back Again saga into a token kill. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around the printed Smaug. It is not a control deck: it wins by overwhelming artifact count, combat damage, and sacrifice drain, with Patriarch's Bidding, Rivaz, and Whip of Erebos providing recursion after wipes.
