Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an aggressive tribal tempo build commanded by the partner pairing of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. The deck curves out with cheap, evasive Pirates to trigger Malcolm for rapid Treasure generation and Breeches for continuous card advantage stolen directly from opposing libraries. This resource surplus fuels explosive midgame turns featuring massive combat damage multipliers such as Shared Animosity, repeated combat steps, and Double Down copying pirate spells. The deck also contains a compact two-card win condition in Glint-Horn Buccaneer, which combos with Malcolm during combat to deal lethal damage to all opponents in a single turn. Backed by an efficient interaction suite including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Cyclonic Rift, the deck protects its aggressive engine while rapidly outpacing the table in mana velocity and card flow.
