Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green Treefolk tribal deck commanded by Fangorn, Tree Shepherd. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana in the early turns using low-cost dorks, land ramps, and high-synergy lands like Gaea's Cradle and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. In the midgame, it establishes sturdy Treefolk with high toughness and power, drawing cards through engines like Garruk's Uprising and The Great Henge. Once Fangorn, Tree Shepherd enters the battlefield, all Treefolk gain vigilance, and attacking generates double green mana that does not empty between steps and phases. This explosive influx of mana allows the deck to cast massive game-ending spells such as Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, Last March of the Ents, or Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus. Robust permanent protection from Heroic Intervention, Timber Protector, and Asceticism shields the wide board from sweepers, allowing the deck to overwhelm the entire table with trampling combat damage by Turn 7.
