Deck overview

This mono-black deck is led by The Ghoul, Gunslinger, combining traditional Zombie tribal synergies with an aristocrats drain strategy and rad counter mechanics. The primary game plan establishes early Zombie fodder and card draw engines, transitions into mid-game board presence, and closes through continuous drain triggers. The Ghoul, Gunslinger converts dying nontoken Zombies into self-directed rad counters, creating Treasure tokens that accelerate mana development and fuel graveyard recursion. The deck closes games around Turn 6 by executing loops with Gravecrawler, Warren Soultrader, and drain payoffs such as Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, or Syr Konrad, the Grim. Mass reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding and Zombie Apocalypse provide resilience against board wipes and act as explosive alternative win conditions. The deck excels at resource recovery and sustained attrition, but is vulnerable to rest-in-peace style graveyard exile and lacks artifact removal.
