Deck overview

This deck is a specialized mono-black Voltron and combat-attrition strategy built around Loot, the Anomaly. Loot's static ability inverts negative power into positive combat damage, turning conventional debuffs into massive offensive buffs. The primary game plan deploys Loot on Turn 3, establishes unblockability with low-cost evasion equipment like Thieves' Tools or Skeleton Key on Turn 4, and delivers one-shot lethal eliminations on Turn 5 using infect enablers (Tainted Strike, Phyresis) or power debuffs like Belbe's Armor. The deck breaks parity on symmetric stax artifacts like Ensnaring Bridge and Meekstone, which completely paralyze opposing boards while Loot slips underneath unhindered. A supporting sacrifice shell featuring Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Lord Skitter, Sewer King, and Skullclamp fuels Loot's Threshold ability and sustains card advantage throughout the mid-game.
