Deck overview

This deck is a Jund group-slug strategy led by Winter, Misanthropic Guide. The game plan revolves around turning card draw—traditionally an advantage—into a lethal liability for opponents. By leveraging Winter's guaranteed upkeep draw trigger alongside redundant draw engines like Howling Mine and Teferi's Puzzle Box, the deck forces everyone to draw copious cards. Meanwhile, asymmetric punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Razorkin Needlehead deal relentless noncombat damage for every card drawn. Winter's Delirium ability restricts opponents' maximum hand sizes, forcing them to discard excess cards at the end of their turn while Tergrid, God of Fright and Megrim capitalize on those discards. With dense 1-2 CMC ramp and high redundancy among burn engines, the deck presents a fast, compounding clock that forces the entire table into a rapid race against their own draw steps.
