Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves is a Golgari elf-ball deck that converts dozens of Elf tokens into a drain kill. Its primary plan is to deploy Lathril early, attack to create tokens, and then untap her with Staff of Domination or Wirewood Symbiote/Lodge to repeat her 10-life activation. The secondary finish is an overrun: Natural Order or Finale of Devastation finds Craterhoof Behemoth, or Triumph of the Hordes turns a wide board into an infect kill. The deck's hidden commander is the mana-lord package (Elvish Archdruid, Priest of Titania, Circle of Dreams Druid), since a high-tapping Elf enables the Staff line and fuels every other play. Bolas's Citadel and Eladamri, Korvecdal give extra card-advantage reach.
