Commander: Magda, Brazen Outlaw

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a hyper-synergistic mono-red Dwarf-tribal deck built around the command-zone Treasure engine of Magda, Brazen Outlaw. The plan is to play Magda early, animate overlapping lines of cheap Dwarves-especially Seven Dwarves-and profit every time those Dwarves tap through combat, activated abilities, or combat damage tokens. The resulting Treasures convert into Magda, Brazen Outlaw's activated ability: sacrifice five to put an artifact or Dragon directly onto the battlefield, bypassing the stack insofar as it is sorcery-speed but still remarkably efficient. The deck then wins by chaining artifact ramp into a haste/flying dragon swarm, finishing with Utvara Hellkite Pyroclasm tokens or the artifact-centric alternate victory of Hellkite Tyrant. There is one extremely close Fery engine in Magda, the Hoardmaster, who can spend three Treasures to make a 4/4 Scorpion Dragon with haste. Overall, this is not an infinite-combo deck; it is a Treasure-value deck that attacks with an increasingly absurd swarm of Dwarves and Dragons.
