Tom, Bert & William by pat10

Format: Commander

Commander: Tom, Bert, and William

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari midrange deck helmed by Tom, Bert, and William leverages big creatures as both beaters and fuel. The commander is a repeatable sacrifice outlet that converts power into card advantage (draw equal to power, then discard), and it self-recurs as an artifact when it dies. The plan ramps with dorks and land auras, deploys oversized threats like Yargle and Multani, Ghalta, Primal Hunger, and Phyrexian Soulgorger, then sacs them to the commander or Greater Good for massive refill while discard payoffs (Bone Miser, Monument to Endurance, Feast of Sanity) and death triggers (Syr Konrad, the Grim, The Skullspore Nexus, Pitiless Plunderer) convert the churn into damage, tokens, and treasures. Reanimation (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist) recycles the haymakers. Wins come from combat (often doubled by Unnatural Growth), life-drain sacs via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord or Rite of Consumption/Final Strike, and draw-punishers like Psychosis Crawler.
