Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis aggro-burn deck led by Abaddon the Despoiler. It converts early opponent life loss into free spells through the cascade mechanic. During the early turns, the deck deploys cheap mana rocks and steady pingers like Creeping Bloodsucker and Stormfist Crusader. Once Abaddon enters the battlefield, any pre-combat burn or successful combat damage sets a high life-loss threshold. This gives mid-to-high cost spells in hand cascade, allowing you to cast additional spells from your library for free. The deck quickly builds a dominant battlefield using cascade payoffs such as Keeper of Secrets, Terror of the Peaks, and Nalfeshnee, alongside damage doublers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Twinflame Tyrant. Mana generators like Neheb, the Eternal and Rakdos, Lord of Riots turn high damage into explosive turns. While the deck lacks instant two-card infinite combos and universal tutors, its high card velocity and redundant heavy hitters overwhelm opponents across two to three combat cycles.
