Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange control deck centered on hand disruption, opponent theft, and Elder Dragon planeswalkers. The game plan focuses on casting efficient two-mana mana rocks to deploy Nicol Bolas, the Ravager or hand-attack engines by turn 4. Once opponents have reduced resources, the deck capitalizes through discard payoffs like Waste Not, Tergrid, God of Fright, and Tinybones, Trinket Thief. In the mid-to-late game, the deck transitions to win conditions by paying seven mana to transform its commander into Nicol Bolas, the Arisen, casting heavy Bolas planeswalkers, or stealing high-value threats with Etali, Primal Storm and Xanathar, Guild Kingpin. The deck excels at grinding down opposing card advantage through persistent attrition. However, it lacks instant-speed stack protection and relies on prolonged combat steps and life drain over multiple turn cycles to close out the game.
