Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger and Wizard aggro strategy led by Gandalf, Party Guest. The primary game plan curves low-cost legendary Wizards on early turns, followed by casting Gandalf on turn four to cheat the mana costs of impactful instants and sorceries straight into combat. By chaining free spells with prowess-style board pumpers like Balmor, Battlemage Captain and Adeliz, the Cinder Wind, the deck rapidly turns noncreature spells into lethal combat damage and burn. Mana generation from Vivi Ornitier and cost reduction from Kaza, Roil Chaser ensure smooth mid-game storm turns, while card engines like Archmage Emeritus and Whirlwind of Thought sustain resources. Interaction is versatile, featuring targeted burn, flexible countermagic, and asymmetric board resets such as Urza's Ruinous Blast. Protection spells like Chase Inspiration and Samut's split second ability shield your key turns from opposing disruption. Overall, the deck delivers an explosive, synergistic creature-spellslinger game plan that scales efficiently.
