LOTR - Mordor - Reanimator by timkut

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, Lord of the Rings

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis reanimator/control deck helmed by Sauron, Lord of the Rings. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard through self-mill and looting - Stitcher's Supplier, Faithless Looting, Consider, Millikin - then reanimate an overwhelming board of big flyers and tramplers with Reanimate, Zombify, Living Death, and Living End. Sauron himself is a powerful reanimation payoff: his ETB amasses a 5/5 Army, mills five, and returns a creature from the graveyard. The deck grinds card advantage with Phyrexian Arena, Relic of Sauron, and the draw-punisher trio of Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Orcish Bowmasters, and Notion Thief. It closes games through combat, using Scourge of the Throne's extra combat step and Knollspine Dragon's refill to convert a big board into a lethal swing.
