THE UGLY by user4001708

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth turns life into black mana, letting this monoblack deck play expensive drain spells ahead of curve. The primary plan is to turbo out K'rrik, attack for lifelink, then assemble a two-piece drain loop with Vito/Sanguine Bond/Enduring Tenacity plus Exquisite Blood/Bloodthirsty Conqueror; Ayara or Blood Artist supplies the opening life-loss trigger. The backup plan is a creature-sacrifice engine with Ayara, Blood Artist, and Ashnod's Altar. Baron Helmut Zemo and Syr Konrad act as supplemental engines, not hidden commanders. Recursion from Tortured Existence, Cadaver Imp, and Living End keeps the board stable, while tutors and Ad Nauseam find the missing combo half.
