Deck overview

This Golgari deck is centered on Ygra, Eater of All, turning all other creatures on the battlefield into Food artifacts. This unique static ability transforms conventional artifact-hate spells into one-sided asymmetric board wipes. Cards like Creeping Corrosion and Bane of Progress destroy all opposing creatures while leaving Ygra intact and vastly enlarged with +1/+1 counters. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using efficient mana dorks and rocks, deploys Ygra on Turn 4, and initiates lethal combat pressure on Turn 5. Supported by an aristocrats package featuring Disciple of the Vault, Marionette Apprentice, and Blood Artist, any creature death drains opponents while pumping the commander. Built-in Ward protection and targeted defensive spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping guard Ygra as it systematically eliminates opponents over consecutive combat steps.
