Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Teval, the Balanced Scale and focuses on self-mill, lands-in-graveyard recursion, and token-based reanimator strategies. Early turns accelerate mana using dorks and cheap utility spells while filling the graveyard through self-mill engines like Hedron Crab, Ripples of Undeath, and Life from the Loam. Teval, the Balanced Scale lands on Turn 3 or 4, attacking to simultaneously ramp lands and generate 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard. The deck compounds this board advantage with Insidious Roots, Scute Swarm, and Field of the Dead. On Turn 6, it converts this wide board into a game-ending state via Living Death, a reanimated Craterhoof Behemoth, or Gilt-Leaf Archdruid land theft, eliminating the table across one subsequent response cycle.
