Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos madness and discard-synergy strategy piloted by Anje Falkenrath. The primary game plan leverages Anje's haste and tap ability to rapidly cycle through 35 madness cards, untapping repeatedly as they are discarded. This card velocity powers a dense suite of discard payoffs, including Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Feast of Sanity, and Cool but Rude, which convert every discarded card into direct damage against each opponent. Creature-based boards are systematically suppressed using madness-costed removal spells like Dark Withering and Big Game Hunter, alongside board-wide attrition from Archfiend of Ifnir. Without fast mana rocks or compact infinite combos, the deck plays on curve, assembling its core engine on Turn 4 and presenting a critical must-answer burn state on Turn 5. It closes out the game around Turn 8 through accumulated burn, madness combat damage, and burst-refill spells such as Change of Fortune and Peer into the Abyss.
