Deck overview

This mono-blue tempo deck turns cheap, evasive 1-drops into lethal threats using Octavia, Living Thesis. The game plan revolves around rapidly filling the graveyard with 8 or more instant and sorcery cards through efficient 1-mana cantrips, looters, and self-mill effects. Once the threshold is met, Octavia resolves for just two blue mana, shielded by Ward {8}. Each subsequent cantrip triggers Magecraft, converting creatures like Slither Blade and Invisible Stalker into 8/8 unblockable attackers. Combat-damage draw engines keep the hand full of cheap fuel, while bounce spells and targeted transformation effects clear obstacles. Without infinite combos or extra turns, the deck wins through aggressive, scaling combat damage over multiple turn cycles.
