Pocket Sand by Prismatic

Format: Commander

Commander: Hazezon, Shaper of Sand

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Hazezon, Shaper of Sand is the engine: every Desert land he plays or replays from the graveyard creates two Sand Warrior tokens. The primary plan is to combine extra land drops, Desert tutors, and token doublers to flood the board, then finish with Craterhoof Behemoth, Jetmir, Nexus of Revels, or Purphoros, God of the Forge triggers. The secondary plan is land recursion: sacrifice and recur Deserts with Desert Warfare, Splendid Reclamation, or Zuran Orb, turning Landfall into an army. There is no hidden commander; the other legends such as Mondrak, Elesh Norn, Jetmir, Purphoros, and Exalted Sunborn are support pieces that amplify or convert the token plan.
